Meetings

Land Acknowledgement: We recognize the Indigenous land on which all Alaskans live. AKYD meetings in Anchorage are on Dena'ina land, and we honor the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land in the past, present, and future.

AKYD meetings are held every second Saturday of the month from 2:00-3:30PM.

Members of AKYD and members of the general public are welcome to attend any AKYD event or meeting, and cannot be refused as long as they are in good standing (per Section 2 of the AKYD Bylaws), and their behavior is not distracting or dangerous. AKYD reserves the right to refuse entrance of members of the general public to AKYD meetings on the basis that meetings are for AKYD business.

Membership eligibility: AKYD welcomes anyone wanting to join the AKYD as long as they under the age of 36. To be considered an official voting member, an interested person must have attended two (2) meetings or events (formal or informal) in the past 12 months. All voting members of AKYD must not be registered as Republicans. This is in compliance with the Young Democrats of America.

We aim to be safe and inclusive for statewide participants and families.
